A four-season destination, our corner of Maine is located in the foothills of Franklin County, which is part of Maine Lakes and Mountains region.  Discover and explore a world of outdoor activity, from hiking, biking, skiing and snowmobiling, and everything in between. Whether you have a few hours or multiple days to explore, there’s no shortage of adventure in and around the Wilton area.

Wilson Lake Inn boasts 90 feet of private shore front for a secluded retreat on Wilson Lake.  You can relax and unwind on the shore or sit on our dock and enjoy the view during the day or listen to the call of the loons in the evening.  Wilson Lake's clear waters are wonderful for swimming in the summer and fishing year-round.  Explore Wilson Lake in our complimentary kayaks, canoe or rowboat available on first-come first-serve basis.

Hit the links! Golf at Wilson Lake Country Club, considered the “Best Nine in Maine.”  The courses consists of five parallel holes, deep gullies through the woods, and “one of the prettiest one-shotters in Maine.”

Bass Park | Wilton

Air out the kids at Bass Park! Enjoy this scenic view across Wilson Lake.  Located at the foot of Wilton Lake and a short walk from Wilson Lake Inn, Bass Park boasts:

Kineowatha Park | Wilton

Discover a variety of family-friendly activities at Kineowatha Park, just a five-minute drive from our hotel.

Mt. Blue State Park | Weld

Here you will find stellar hiking, trail riding, biking, swimming and picnicking in the foothills of Western Maine.

Mt. Blue State Park and the adjoining Mt. Blue/Tumbledown Public Lands offer four-season activites and outdoor recreation opportunities in Maine's Western Mountains just a 20-minute drive from Wilson Lake Inn.

Mt. Blue State Park is Maine's largest state park, encompassing approximately 8,000 acres in two sections separated by Webb Lake. Visitors can swim in Webb lake, launch and rent boats, and hike many trails close by. During summer months, park staff routinely offer canoe trips, walks, and nature programs. A Nature Center features hands-on exhibits and displays.

University of Maine Farmington

One of the top colleges in America, the University of Maine’s Farmington campus offers excellent preparation for careers that contribute to the community. Visit the campus of one of the finest state-supported schools in the Northeastern United States.

Attend some of our favorite local events in Wilton and Farmington Maine!

Wilton Blueberry Festival:  Featuring live music, races, parades, and blueberry treats on the first "full" weekend of August.

Farmington Fair:  A traditional September town fair with midway rides, livestock shows, and fair food.  The Farmington Fair has a large midway, exhibit halls, livestock exhibits, animal pulling events and harness racing.

Chester Greenwood Day: Celebrate the inventor of the ear muff during the first Saturday in December in downtown Farmington.
