Tom and I came to Maine over twenty years ago. We moved to Wilton from southern Maine in 1997 and were fortunate to be able to purchase the motel in 2004. We work hard with a very dedicated staff to provide our guests with warm and friendly personalized service in one of the most beautiful and peaceful settings in western Maine.

A charming and truly unique lodging facility, Wilson Lake Inn formerly, Whispering Pines Motel is nestled in a residential neighborhood on beautiful Wilson Lake. The original 10 first floor units were built in the mid 1950's. Their pine paneled walls give them a Maine camp atmosphere. Throughout the 70's, 80's and 90's the motel has been expanded and upgraded so that today it has a mixture of single and standard rooms as well as extended stay studios, and two bedroom extended stay suites with fully equipped kitchen facilities. There is nothing "big box or cookie cutter "about our facility. Each new addition brings it's own unique look and feel. Our lawns are surrounded by beautiful perennial gardens. The shaded lakefront area provides our guests with an opportunity to swim, fish, kayak, and canoe from our dock or just relax and take in the beautiful mountains of western Maine.

Travelers today have many needs so, we provide free wireless internet, a computer and printer for guest use, as well as fax and copy services. There is an on site Laundry facility for guest use. We also have a meeting space available that can accommodate up to 30 people making it ideal for gatherings, retreats or meetings.

Tom and I welcome you and invite you to come and relax after your long day of work or travel. Nowhere else in southern Franklin County will you find such convenience.
